The Dionne vs. Romanicki court decision was released by the B.C. Supreme Court on March 29, 2007.

In the early morning of December 1, 1999, Ms. Dionne, age 54, left her home to walk to work. She was a human resources officer with the federal government and it was the 32nd anniversary of her first day of work. She was waiting to cross the street at a major intersection when the “WALK” signal flashed. As she crossed the intersection, she was hit by a pick-up truck being driven by Mr. Romanicki.
